Emotional Art Journey Rome

What happens during an Emotional Art Journey

Every experience with Emanuele Arru begins with a simple idea:
to use art and the places that hold it as an opportunity to pause, listen to oneself and meet others in an authentic, direct and human way.

It is not a classic guided tour, but it is not a workshop either.

It is a shared time, in which we walk together through a museum,
a gallery or a historical site, and observe selected artworks with a different gaze.

During the journey, Emanuele proposes gentle activations inspired by psychodrama and experiential counselling:
small role-playing exercises, symbolic gestures,
moments of personal or group resonance.

There is no acting, no interpretation.

There is exploration, play, participation — even simply through presence.

Each activity arises from what we see and what we feel:
a statue may become a character to encounter,
a fresco may inspire a scene to explore.

Everything takes place with respect, attentive listening,
and the freedom for each person to choose how deeply to engage.

Active counselling techniques are used as delicate tools
to encourage connection,
awareness and lightness.

There are no interpretations, no explanations to follow.

Only questions that open space:
What moves me in this artwork?

Where do I feel it in my body?

What does it bring to mind?

The experience unfolds in a group, always with great care
for each person’s rhythm and boundaries.

No prior knowledge is needed.

Only the willingness to be present.

And often, at the end, you leave the museum with something more.

Not information.

But an impression.

A recognised emotion.

A part of yourself that has found a voice.

And you grow,
you come to know yourself,
you improve,
you become aware
of much that is often lost or ignored in the rush of everyday life.
